Well the month started on a sad note as I had to say goodbye to the lovely Poppy (pictured) as her owner is relocating with her and her brother to Cornwall to move in with her partner. Obviously I will miss Poppy and Scruffs but am thrilled for their mum that she is getting her happy ever after with the man of her dreams.
On a happier note I got to meet Marshal a very bouncy Doberman that Tracey has rehomed after his owners marriage broke down leaving neither of them in a situation to keep such a large dog. Marshall is an awesome dog who just had too much energy for Tracey and she was letting her frustrations get the better of her, using positive, fun training methods Marshall is now getting a very solid recall and we have also done some boundary training so that Tracey can safely work her horses without Marshalls not so helpful input.
I have also got to indulge in pony cuddles when Toffee a super cute welsh section A pony pulled a tendon in the field putting him on box rest when is owners were due to go to a family wedding in New York (nice for some eh?)
On a more personal note my newest addition to the family (another malamute rescue) got to continue her impulse control training when she came to Foxham horse and dog show with me, she was a star and stayed calm passing all the dogs and horses, she had a few slips when a couple of dogs took her by surprise but quickly regained her composure so I'm a proud mummy!
